Health Reimbursement Account (HRA)
All employees using the City of Everett health care are eligible for reimbursements for certain out of pocket health care expenses:
Outpatient Surgery Copay
In-patient Hospital Admission Copay
MRI, CT, PET Scans

Flex Spending Account (FSA):
Flex programs allow you to set aside a portion of your paycheck tax free to pay for eligible expenses. The result is a reduction in your taxable income, which will give you an increase in your take home pay. Employee on average save 30% when using an FSA.
Pre tax deductions (loaded onto a debt card) for health care related expenses. Employees may set aside up to $2,650 per plan to pay for out-of-pocket health care/dental expenses for themselves and their family members.
Pretax deductions for dependent care. Employees can set aside up to $5,000 per plan year to pay for out-of-pocket dependent care expenses for children under the age of 13 or elderly parents. This includes expenses for after school programs.

Health Insurance Opt Out Incentive:
Everett Employees who can acquire health insurance elsewhere can receive a one time payment of either $2,500 (for individual plans) or $5,000 (for family plans) for opting out of the city insurance plan.
